Product description
Sludge disposal accounts for about 50% of the operating costs and 20-30% of the capital costs in wastewater treatment works. The quantity of sludge produced is increasing substantially while fewer disposals routes will be available in the future.
LODOred-100k is an highly innovative product based only on natural organic and inorganic components with a strictly defined composition. Developed and designed for eliminate use in aerobic wastewater treatment plants it leads to a substantial reduction of sludge and stabilizes the biological treatment process. LODOred-100k is a very efficient and highly complex agent combining vitamins, enzyme stabilisers, additives and auxiliary substances.

Mode of operation
LODOred-100k increases the efficiency of the aerobic biological wastewater treatment process and leads after a short time period (3-6 weeks) to a drastic reduction (up to 65 %) of sewage sludge.
In general, the application of LODOred-100k has several beneficial effects on the aerobic wastewater treatment phase. There are no negative effects through the application of LODOred-100k at all. Due to the unchanged characteristics of the remaining sludge the presently used utilization methods are still possible.

Use and application rate (dosage)
LODOred-100k is available in a liquid concentrate form. To be applied in a wastewater treatment plant it has to be diluted with cold tap water in order to secure exact dosage. The ready-to-use mixture is pumped via a dosage pump into the activated sludge basin. BIOAZUL designs tailor-made application in terms of technical specification and application rate eliminate for each client based on the specific characteristics of each wastewater treatment system.

Environment protection and safety
All ingredients of LODOred-100k are carefully selected and tested. All of them are 100 % biologically degradable and neither harmful to the environment nor to applicants. LODOred-100k has a neutral pH-value, is inflammable and not poisonous. Based on its characteristics there is no special labelling for dangerous chemicals required. On request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available. The composition and characteristics of LODOred-100k have been analysed and approved by the independent laboratory of the German Research Centre in Bremerhaven - TTZ Bremerhaven (last analysis on 24.02.2004).
