GREENCITIES 2021

Reading time: 2

On September 29 and 30, we attended the 11th edition of Greencities, the Urban Intelligence and Sustainability Forum in FYCMA (Malaga), where we presented our project Connecting Nature and the application of Nature-Based Solutions in cities

The 2021 edition had the participation of 2,600 visitors who could learn the latest advances in innovation and technology applied to mobility and city management. In addition, more than 300 companies and international entities represented have brought together a comprehensive proposal of solutions, services and tools aimed at improving the habitability of the territories, turning them into more intelligent, sustainable and connected environments.

From Bioazul we have once again participated with a stand dedicated to our Connecting Nature project where we received great interest from individuals, companies and public administrations. One more year, we informed attendees about the Nature-based Solutions Platform, encouraging them to register and become part of one of their communities. Our Guide to the Canvas for Business Models adapted to Nature-based Solutions was very successful and we distributed a large number of copies. We also take the opportunity to announce the public survey to comment on the Nature-Based Economy report in which Connecting Nature collaborates, and invite our attendees to access the survey and give their opinion.

In addition to the exhibition area, the Greencities Forum offered a wide program of thematic panels such as mobility, tourism or innovation. On the other hand, there were also meetings focused on connected mobility, its development as a service or on governance in this area.

There was also a space dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of women in the development of the urban agenda, social entrepreneurship and the circular economy. And, in this sense, the new demands of society in the era of the circular economy have been explained and the keys have been given on the green, digital transition and decarbonization.
